Metrics Global, Inc is a firm believer in “giving back” and we provide significant financial support for two nonprofit organizations – Wounded Warrior Project & Shriners Hospitals for Children – that have special meaning to company President & CEO Wendy M. Yurgo.
Wounded Warrior Project
Wounded Warrior Project® provides services for veterans and service members (and the families thereof) who suffered a physical injury or mental illness in association with their military service on or after 9/11.
Shriners Hospitals for Children
With 22 locations throughout North America, Shriners Hospitals for Children delivers specialized care, including surgery and rehabilitation, for children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate. Shriners Hospitals provides care regardless of the families’ ability to pay.
In addition to being an active Shriner, Wendy’s grandfather was a veteran of WWII and recipient of the Purple Heart for wounds he suffered during combat. Wendy is a staunch supporter of American veterans and at least 30% of Metrics Global current employees are veterans. Aside from financial contributions to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Metrics Global also helps sponsor the Shriners Hospitals for Children golf event which is a PGA Tour event.
